Which is denser and more appropriate for saddle, pins, bone or black horn.? Any advantages to the bone?

Bone is quite a bit denser and gives a little brighter sound. Black horn mellows the sound some. They both sound good, just different. The twins that I used bone on sound really good but are not as bright as the one with bone.
